Photoshop and Lightroom

I just got my software for Adobe Photoshop 5 and for Adobe Lightroom 3 from the Internet yesterday. I've long been looking for a legitimate link since I already wanted to learn how they work, and finally saw one (which at first I thought was fake, but gave it a try) from Tumblr. But now that I have it in my laptop, I'm just clueless about how everything in there functions.

I've opened both without watching tutorials on YouTube or asking questions from friends since I'm that excited. But as expected, my mind got lost with all the buttons in the interface, especially Photoshop. I'm literally out of place in a sea of unfamiliar buttons there. Although, I understood Lightroom better because it's a lot simpler than the other one. So I tried and tested some photos to edit, and of course it was a big failure. I thought it was just like the other photo editors I already had used. But no, it was a lot different.
Until I get to watch a few videos from sites, and have answers for my queries from cyber buddies. Still under experimentation, I tried to explore everything in a night.
Of course, I learned, but definitely not everything. But I know I am on my way.

I finally got happy with Lightroom after downloading presets as prescribed by a pal. I took a random photo from my hard disk and used one of the presets and I got this enhanced photograph from the one below it:

The photo is an image I took from the procession in Panay, Capiz, by the way, using a Samsung digital camera. And look, the picture is more adorable than its original! I'm obviously a happy user!
I'll be definitely using this software from now on, and probably leaving Photoscape for a while. Yay for Photoshop and Lightroom!
